My third Eco-challenge builds on past tradition of reducing: automobile use and water consumption, and eliminating red meat. I have added another aspect which is to engage at least five people/week in discussions about nature, improving personal health and how lifestyle choices may impact the environment. No, I will not be preaching or reprimanding.

- Day 5 Report. After three days of shaking, snarling, and headaches, I found that giving up bananas was harder than giving up coffee. I will admit to a couple of breaches, though accidental, such as smearing avocado on a quesadilla and mustard on a sandwich. They were reflexive actions, as so much of our daily behaviour has become. Mindful eating could form the basis of a mindful lifestyle; start with the basics., small steps. After just a few days, it doesn't seem as difficult or as odd. Thank you for your support and good luck fellow EcoChallengers!
