EcoChallenge 2012

Sami Fournier

Cloth diapering was a choice we committed to for our DD, but it has been harder than expected! We commit for 2 weeks not to revert to disposables, which means less landfill waste and fewer harsh chemicals near our baby, or used for diaper production. We use Sweet Peas Diaper service, and they wash the diapers in enviro-sensitive manner with healthy soaps and industrial quantities.

Tomorrow = success! I used only 2 disposables during the 2 weeks. We have had a lot of diaper changes, and changing our habits was hard, but doable. Now to go unload some baggies with diapers I just remembered I forgot in the car. Luckily, breast-fed 3-month olds don't make smelly poop.
