The Mighty River Mice EcoChallenger

My family and I live in Sunnyside Wa., we will be starting our Eco Challenge and continue it in our new home which we will be doing a remodel on.
The following are a few of the eco measures we will attempt to do in the comming months. After reviewing all the challenges we made a chart and list.
Water- check 4 leaks, Insulate water pipes and tank, collect rain water/rain barrels, brick toilet tank for a water reducer, and buy low water use fixtures in the new house.
Energy- Dry clothes on line, unplug appliances when not in use, purchase programming thermostate for new home, tv/ comp time turn off, use more daylite hours open curtains and let in the light
Sustainable food- Eat home food, know where the food comes from, plant a herb garden and plot new garden in mew home yard.
TRash reduction- tea/juice/drink water from home reuse bottle/mug, eat from home less pkg., recycle, buy bulk, craigslist/goodwill recycled items.

Hope to do alll of these tasks, but if only get done at least we are trying to help. a step in the right direction is always a footprint. it how many footprints you make and the steps you take.
